From Florida to the Treasure Valley
The early days weren't easy. Long hours, physical labor, and cold Idaho winters tested his resolve more than once. But with the support of the team at American Rooter & Drain and the drive to provide for his family, Chris pushed through and worked his way up to Technician Supervisor.
Leading the Team
As a supervisor, Chris knows that strong technicians don't just show up and turn wrenches — they think critically about every home they walk into. One of the core lessons he passes along to the techs he trains:
His approach to leadership is straightforward:
- Start the day with motivation. Attitude on the job starts before the first service call.
- Stay available. When a tech runs into something they haven't seen before, Chris draws on his own experience to help them work through it.
- Have their back. When situations get tough in the field, his team knows he's in their corner.
Under his supervision, team members have developed skills in areas where they once struggled — a result he takes genuine pride in.
A Positive Attitude as a Professional Tool
Chris calls a positive mindset his greatest strength — and his favorite company value to put into practice every day. He's the first to admit it took time to make it a consistent habit.
That attitude shows up beyond the job site. Customers remember Chris. They run into him at the grocery store or a restaurant, call him by name, and ask how he's been. That kind of lasting connection is exactly what American Rooter & Drain aims to build in every community we serve across the Treasure Valley and Eastern Oregon.
Family Man, Outdoorsman, Lifelong Learner
Chris is married to his middle school sweetheart, Samantha, and they have five children — including a set of twins. He loves cooking with his wife and making memories with his kids.
Outside of work, he's working to expand his knowledge of business and personal finance. His hobbies include fishing, hiking, target shooting, and hunting:
Even in his off hours, he gravitates toward a challenge.
The Kind of People We Look For
Chris plans to grow with American Rooter & Drain for the long haul and pass his skills on to as many technicians as possible. His humility, work ethic, and genuine care for customers and colleagues represent the values we look for in every person who joins our team.
